Project Information

'Bodily Renaissance' is a film that came from one of our rising stars, Claudia Lee. Scripted, directed and voice by Claudia, it is a beautiful experimental poem-short exploring a woman’s painful journey with body image and dysmorphia, through the lens of Renaissance women’s forms. We witness the protagonist reject modern societal expectations and metamorphosise into the embodiment of self acceptance.

Shot with an almost entirely female crew at a studio in London - this film champions not only the female body but the incredible women within our industry.

Winner: Cult Movies International Film Festival - Best Short Women’s Film

Semi-finalist: New York International Women’s Film Festival, Nashville Independent Filmmakers Film Festival.

Official Selection: Tweetfest, UPTILT Film Fest, The Shortest Nights, The Women’s Film Festival, Cinema Femme Short Film Festival, International Video Poetry Festival Athens, Short Sweet Film Fest, Unrestricted View Film Festival, CASCADIA Women’s Film Festival, The Poppy Jaspar International Film Festival, WACO Independent Film Festival, Shorts on Tap, Curation Hour, Girls in Film, Minute Shorts.

Longlist: The Shiny Awards
